SMETHPORT — A Bradford man pleaded guilty Thursday in McKean County Court to assault allegations.
Steven A. Brooks, 53, entered the guilty plea to a charge of simple assault. On May 11, Brooks pushed a female onto the floor of a deck, causing her to hit her head, according to District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer. He will be sentenced Jan. 24.
Also in court, Keven W. Curtis, 24, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to a charge of simple assault. According to Assistant District Attorney Jerry Grill, on Oct. 17, Curtis put a pillow over a female’s face during an argument and smacked the pillow. He will be sentenced Feb. 7.
Madison M. Lindquist, 21, of Kane, pleaded guilty to a charge of simple assault. On Feb. 10, Lindquist caused injury to another female during a mutual consent fight, according to Grill. She will be sentenced Jan. 24.
Dennis W. Fox, 23, of Emporium, pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of methamphetamine. He will be sentenced April 25.
Alex M. Ita, 31, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to a summary charge of disorderly conduct. Ita’s attorney, Greg Henry, explained that on Aug. 10, Ita made an investigation by Bradford City Police into a car fire more difficult because of comments Ita made about the person he believed was responsible for the fire. He will be sentenced Jan. 24.
Two people were accepted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program for DUI-alcohol: Justin M. Ostrander, 30, of Bradford, and Andrea M. Schimp, 46, of Eldred.
