A Bradford man is in McKean County Jail after allegedly breaking out the windows of a home while he was intoxicated.
Alex Green, 19, of 812 South Ave., was arraigned on New Year’s Day before District Judge Dominic Cercone on charges of attempted burglary, a felony; loitering and prowling at night time, a third-degree misdemeanor; and summary charges of public drunkenness, criminal mischief and consumption of liquor by a minor.
The criminal complaint states that at 4:31 a.m., two Bradford Township police officers were dispatched to 669 W. Corydon St. for a report of a male on the front porch trying to enter the home after smashing the front windows out.
Police arrived to find Green — who was under the influence of alcohol — sitting in a front window that had been completely broken out of the frame; his clothing was soiled with mud and blood from the attempted break-in, according to the complaint.
The home was occupied at the time, and the occupants, who did not know Green, were trying to keep him from coming in through the window, court records stated.
Green is incarcerated in lieu of $5,000 bail. A Central Court hearing is set for Jan. 10.
