MOUNT JEWETT — A First Day hike will be held along the General Kane Hiking Trail at the Kinzua Bridge State Park beginning at 10 a.m. on Jan. 1.
The hike is approximately 1.5 miles on an easy-to-moderate walk in the woods. During the hike, look for signs of wildlife in the area. This trail is in the “open to hunting” area, so participants are asked to wear orange hats and vests.
Wear appropriate footwear and dress for the weather. Meet at the Visitor Center Lobby. Coffee and hot chocolate will be provided after the walk in the Visitor Center classroom.
