MOUNT JEWETT — The Mount Jewett Community Christmas Party will be held from 1 until 6 p.m. Sunday at the Mount Jewett Veteran’s Memorial Club.
The event is free and open to all ages.
Activities from 1 to 4 p.m. will be geared toward children 10-years-of-age and younger while activities from 4 to 6 p.m. will be for ages 11 to 15 exclusively.
Activities for the younger crowd from 1 to 4 p.m. include: games, cookie decorating crafts, hot chocolate bar, story time with Mrs. Claus and an opportunity to share Christmas wishes with Santa Claus.
There will be a free photographer available to capture a child’s time with Santa.
For children ages 11 to 15 there will be a dance and karaoke with DJ Scottie from 4 to 6 p.m. Also included in the evening will be refreshments and door prizes.
Since it is the season of giving, donations for the McKean County SPCA are being collected throughout the event.
Acceptable items include: cat/kitten food, dog/puppy food, cat litter, dog/cat toys, cleaning supplies, laundry soap, 10 gallon trash bags, paper towels, water bottles, toilet paper and bleach.
