American Refining Group Inc. announced five employees have earned promotions recently.
Jason Hogue of Custer City has been named quality-control lab supervisor, responsible for providing leadership and technical expertise in the lab, while promotion safety and continuous improvement and ensuring efficient, effective department operation.
Hogue has been with ARG since June 2010, when he was hired as an entry-level lab technician.
John Landes was promoted to quality-control lab specialist as of Nov. 1, upon his certification as an engine operator through CFR Engine Inc. He moved back to the Bradford area and rejoined ARG in January 2017.
Jeremy Cressley progressed to quality chemist II in October and is now responsible for researching new equipment and recommending equipment purchases to management; implementation and methodology of new equipment; advanced equipment maintenance, repair and troubleshooting; and consultation with vendors. Cressley is a native of Corry and resident of Bradford. He joined ARG in December 2012.
John Peterson of Bradford has earned a promotion to principal chemist with ARG’s research and development group. Peterson started work at the Bradford refinery in 1994 when he was hired by Witco as a laborer in the Barrel House. He is a veteran of the United States Army and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a master’s degree in analytical chemistry from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
Chris Benvenuti was promoted to assistant controller with ARG’s finance team in its Pittsburgh office. Benvenuti joined ARG in March 2014. He is a graduate of Clarion University’s College of Business Administration, where he earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree.
