SMETHPORT — A Smethport man was acquitted of indecent assault Monday after a one-day trial in McKean County Court.
According to court records, Michael E. Murphy, 54, of Smethport, appeared for a trial on the single charge and was found not guilty by the jury. He was convicted of a summary charge of harassment, records indicate.
Murphy was accused for an incident that was alleged to have occurred at 11 p.m. Nov. 27, 2017, at The Farmers Valley Inn.
