SMETHPORT — Commissioners in McKean, Cameron and Potter counties have opened an online community survey for the Northern Pennsylvania Tri-County Comprehensive Plan.
As part of a multi-tiered public engagement process, the survey will help identify areas of need in the three counties based upon public opinion.
All citizens are encouraged to complete the online community survey, open until Jan. 9, at www.surveymonkey.com/r/NorthernPA.
The survey is an opportunity for residents, property owners, and other stakeholders in the tri-county region to share feedback on a range of topics, including access to jobs, shopping, and training as well as information on transportation and public services. Hard copies of the survey are available by contacting Joe Passmore at joseph.passmore@mbakerintl.comor 717-221-2061.
Citizens are also invited to attend an open house on the comprehensive plan on Jan. 23 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The open house will be held at the Port Allegany High School Library.
The plan, funded in part through the North Central PA Regional Planning and Development Commission, began in August 2018 and will be completed in summer 2019. For more information on the Northern Pennsylvania Tri-County Comprehensive Plan 2030 and ways to provide input, contact your county planning commission office.
