MORE: It seems the fascination with Bradford and its mention on NBC’s “This is Us” continues.
Johnsonburg native and NYC resident Michael Hinman hosts Alpha Wave Radio, an hour long show on an internet radio station called Odyssey.
“Your galactic home for science fiction, science fact and the paranormal. Here at Odyssey you can enjoy hours (24 per day on Earth, 24.6 on Mars) of the finest in vintage science fiction, discussion on your favorite sci-fi shows and movies, talk of UFO’s and the paranormal and so much more.”
Today’s show, at 7 p.m. on Odysy1.com, features Era Associate Editor Marcie Schellhammer talking about the Bradford connection and her recent interview with showrunner Isaac Aptaker.
A Google search for the show and the name Bradford turns up millions of hits. How neat!

TREES: While it’s the time of year for folks to be putting up trees to celebrate Christmas, it’s also a good time to consider if you plan to have a real tree or an artificial one.
There are benefits and drawbacks to both, we think.
For those who are diehard real-tree enthusiasts, we have a request to pass along from the Kinzua Fish & Wildlife Association.
Donate your trees to them after the holidays, for use in the river for habitats.
The drop-off locations will be the former Graybill Marine on Route 321, Paul’s Trading Post on Route 321, the Bradford City Municipal building on Holley Avenue, Glenwood Park in Kane, Point Park in Warren and Memorial Park in Sheffield.
“The trees are arranged in groups of nine with cement blocks (which we also welcome any donations),” a representative of the association said. “They provide habitat for smaller fish.
“The water fluctuates from the lowering and rising and keeps any vegetation from growing in the reservoir. We add tree reefs, porcupine cribs, catfish boxes, bass boxes, pallet cribs and other structures.”
Sounds like a wonderful end for a Christmas tree.
