The National Weather Service in State College has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Bradford and the surrounding area from 1 a.m. to 1 p.m. today.
Meteorologist Craig Evanego said, “It doesn’t look like a real heavy event. Probably not much more than a tenth of an inch of precipitation is expected.”
Evanego added that there is no significant wind chill expected, and stated that wind chills are forecasted to be in the 20s today with temperatures expected to reach the mid 30s.
He didn’t presume that the weather would cause school delays or closings, but did note that the area could see sleet or freezing rain, but probably not much more than a few hundredths of an inch.
When asked if people should avoid traveling, Evanego replied by saying, “I think by afternoon it should be okay, but in the morning it may be a bit slick.
“People should take caution if they have to be out in the morning.”
