The Bradford City Water Authority has ended the request for customers to conserve water after a main break last week lowered levels in the system’s storage tanks.
“Voluntary water conservation efforts that have remained in effect this week will come to an end as of 8 a.m. today,” said Steve Disney, executive director for the Bradford City Water Authority. “Our finished water storage tanks and reservoir water levels have returned to normal operating capacity.”
Disney said he “wanted to extend his appreciation to all customers and thanked them for their patience during this event.”
He went on to explain, “Response from customers not currently registered in the Authority’s emergency notification system has been extremely low. If you did not receive the emergency phone call this past Sunday, you have an unpublished phone number in our emergency system. To receive these emergency notifications you’ll need to register and enter your main phone number and information.”
He explained registration can be done through the bradfordwater.com website.
“At the bottom of the main page you’ll see Swift 911 — Emergency Notification Services,” Disney explained. “Click the add/remove yourself tab, then click the Register button to set up and enter your information.
“Please enter the main emergency phone number that you would like to be notified with. If you prefer this to be your cell number, please enter that number. Your email address will be your Username and you will have to set up your own unique password. You’ll then receive an email with your 4-digit confirmation code. Enter that 4-digit code into the box provided and hit complete the registration.”
Disney said, “anyone having difficulty with this service can call the Water Authority offices at 814-362-3004 for assistance.”
