The Guidance Center held its annual board of directors dinner meeting on Tuesday evening at the Bradford Club, at which time employees were honored for their length of service providing mental health, intellectual disability and prevention services to the community.
Edward Mialky, executive director, recognized Dr. Widad Bazzoui for 45 years of service. Bazzoui is the medical director of The Guidance Center.
Marcia Fowler and Johnna McCullough were each honored for 30 years of service.
Other staff at the event being honored for reaching milestones included: Lori Mague with 25 years; Theodore “Stoney” Greenburg, Robert Sirc and Jackson Lee Stewart with 20 years; Seth Bloomquist, Sally Ginkel and Sandra Schooley with ten years; Keith Anderson, Katie Bange, Warrie Dickinson, Claudette Haner, Katherine Mackey, Lisa Peterson, Brittanie Rounsville, AnnaLisa Ryding, Angela Seal, John Snyder and Kimberley Stollsteimer with five years.
The board welcomed new members Dan Minich and Alcherrie Williams. Board members approved for third terms included Julie Chartreau and Sarah Tingley.
Rev. Rob Klouw was elected as board president, as Dave Caldwell’s term as president ended. John Sullivan was elected to replace Sal Luzzi, who has been board treasurer for two terms. Caldwell and Luzzi will still remain active as board members.
Sam Johnson was elected board secretary.
Others continuing as board members include Jim Keltz, vice president; Shane Oschman and Stacy Wallace.
During the meeting, Mialky reviewed the various achievements of the mental health, intellectual disabilities, education and prevention programs operated by The Guidance Center.
Over 4,000 individuals received services last year through the various programs offered by the agency. In addition, the agency has begun providing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). TMS Therapy is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder in adult patients who have failed to receive satisfactory improvement from prior antidepressant medication.
