BATH, N.Y. — The 2018 Wreaths Across America Day wreath sponsorship deadline has been extended to Dec. 2 for the Bath National Cemetery at the Bath VA Medical Center.
This year’s goal is 5,000 wreaths. More than 1,300 wreaths have been sponsored so far. Sponsorships can be made at www.WreathsAcrossAmerica-BathNY.org (include the dash). Individual wreaths are $15 and tax deductible. Other donation levels also available.
The public is invited to participate in the wreath laying ceremony on Dec. 15, and can sign up at the above website. Arrival time that day is 11:30 a.m. with placing of the wreaths immediately following the noon ceremony.
Buses will be provided to shuttle visitors and participants from the designated parking areas to the cemetery. All wreaths placed on graves during the WAA Day event will be in designated areas only. The VA Employees Association will provide refreshments following the event.
