The First Wesleyan Church of Bradford will be holding its annual Camo Sunday service at 10:45 a.m. Sunday at the church at 692 S. Kendall Ave.
This is the 6th year that the First Wesleyan Church has put on a special Sunday morning service for hunters. Camo Sunday was the brainchild of the church’s former pastor Chris Terbush. He came up with the idea after he watched an episode of his favorite television show “Duck Dynasty.”
Pastor Terri Niver will be delivering a special sermon aimed at hunting and hunters from a Biblical perspective. The members of the First Wesleyan Church of Bradford encourage people who are attending Camo Sunday to dress up in Camo wear or hunting attire. After services Niver will pray for the safety of the hunters and for their success in the woods during hunting season.
Also, the McCrea Brook Wesleyan Church in Eldred will be holding a Camo Sunday Service as well as a Chili Cook-Off. Call the McCrea Brook Wesleyan Church at 814-225-3753 for more information.
The members of the First Wesleyan Church ask all those attending Camo Sunday to not bring any firearms or hunting knives inside the church for safety reasons.
