The first-ever District 9 Football League All-Star teams were announced on Thursday for the Large School, Small School North, and Small School South divisions.
Bradford was well-represented on the Large School side. Donny Pattison was named Offensive MVP while also earning spots at running back and cornerback. Kevin Ackerman (offensive line, linebacker), Jaron Ambrose (slot back, safety), and Nate Gehm (defensive line) were also named Large School All-Stars.
Large School Champion Ridgway also earned a number of accolades, including linebacker Evan Furlong for Defensive MVP and Mark Heindl being named Coach of the Year.
In the Small School North, Smethport’s Blake Kinner was named Offensive MVP, while Adam Jack earned Coach of the Year honors. Chris Connelly of Otto-Eldred was named Defensive MVP.
Meanwhile, Austin Newcomb of Clarion-Limestone earned Small School South Offensive MVP honors, while Curwensville’s Cole Bressler was named Defensive MVP. Clarion-Limestone head coach David Eggleton earned Coach of the Year.
