OLEAN, N.Y. — Archbishop Walsh Academy has announced the induction of 11 more names to be added to the Archbishop Walsh Military Wall of Honor.
At 1:30 p.m. Nov. 9, the academy will add the names and ranks of eleven veterans who have graduated from Walsh.
The ceremony will begin at the school chapel where the names of each inductee will be read by the students of the Class of 2019. The ceremony will then move to the school gymnasium where the entire student body will participate in a discussion about World War 1 lead by humanities teacher Lee Filbert. The Walsh select choir will sing and “In Flanders Field” will be recited by a student from the senior class.
The event is open to the public.
