The VNA of Northwest PA has been included in the 2018 HomeCare Elite™, a recognition of the top-performing home health agencies in the United States.
“Our national ranking is humbling and very rewarding,” said Judy Baumgartner, chairperson of the VNA of Northwest PA. “Our team consistently strives for excellence. This recognition is a testament to the focus and emphasis the VNA places on the provision of high quality patient care.”
HomeCare Elite agencies are determined by an analysis of performance measures in quality outcomes, best practices implementation, patient experience (HHCAHPS), quality improvement and consistency, and financial health. In order to be considered, an agency must be Medicare-certified and have data for at least three outcomes in Home Health Compare.
Over 9,000 home care agencies are considered nationally and the analysis is based on review of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services publicly reported data. The VNA of Northwest PA was awarded Elite designation, representing the Top 25 percent of agencies nationally. They have been recognized a number of times since the inception of the award in 2006 demonstrating a consistent commitment to delivering exceptional care.
An affiliate of the Visiting Nursing Association of WNY and Upper Allegany Health System, the VNA of Northwest PA is located in Bradford and provides care throughout McKean and Potter Counties.
