Bradford Little Theatre, in conjunction with the Era’s Less Fortunate (ELF) Fund, will hold auditions for the production, “Christmas … From the Heart,” at 4 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church at 54 E. Corydon St. in Bradford.
Auditions are open to people of all ages and abilities, said director John Kearns, whose wife, Heather, is producing the show. The couple, who co-wrote the show, are also co-writers of the upcoming Kiwanis Kapers production, “The Show Must Go On.”
Kearns said the “Christmas … From the Heart” presentation will be performed at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Commons’ Mukiyama Room on Dec. 9 for seniors participating in the ELF Fund Senior Trip. The cast will also present an additional show for the public during a date and place to be determined.
Kearns said the show is the second installment of BLT’s “From the Heart” series.
“The format for our show is very unique,” Kearns explained. “We do have a script, but if auditioners wish to bring an act, we will be willing to look at it and determine if it will fit with the format of the show. If you sing or dance or have another act, please bring it to our attention at auditions.”
On a final note, Kearns said he wanted to express the producers’ gratitude to First Presbyterian Church for providing the venue for auditions and rehearsals.
Also helping with the production is Kim Hallock, and Daniel Nordin, the pianist from the first From the Heart show, will provide music for the performances.
