TIME WARP: Let’s do the Time Warp again!
Tonight, the Bradford Little Theatre and the Main Street Movie House are putting on an event that sounds pretty amazing.
The doors open at 11 p.m. for this unique performance and simultaneous viewing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Actors from Bradford Little Theatre will perform with the original 1975 movie playing on the screen behind them, pantomiming what the actors in the movie are doing in real time.
Audience members are encouraged to dress up, yell callbacks at the movie, and bring their own props to use throughout the film.
But that comes with a caveat — no rice or toast will be allowed.
See, to those unfamiliar with the cult classic or the call-and-response-type of audience interaction, this might sound confusing. But for those in the know, acceptable props for this showing include bubbles for the weddings, newspaper, squirt guns, flashlights, rubber gloves, noisemakers, toilet paper, party hats, a bell and playing cards. Prop bags will be sold in the lobby too.
Confused? Go to the show. Your questions will be answered. We’re excited. We hope for a huge turnout for this fun and quirky community event.
