SMETHPORT — A Smethport man accused in a firearms case and an assault case was sentenced Thursday in McKean County Court to a term in state prison.
Robert N. Krehl, 59, of Smethport, will serve four to eight years in state prison with credit for 170 days of time served for charges in two cases. He’s charged in one case with possession of firearm prohibited and in the second with simple assault.
On Sept. 20, Krehl pleaded guilty to allegations that on May 8, he caused injury to a woman by striking her in the face; and on May 22, he possessed a .38 revolver despite being someone who is not allowed to possess firearms.
Police reported at the time of Krehl’s arrest on the firearms case that he cannot have firearms legally due to a previous child pornography conviction.
Also in court, Erin L. Pruett, 23, of Kane, will serve 83 days to 23 ½ months in McKean County Jail with credit for 83 days of time served for charges of conspiracy to possess with the intent to deliver a controlled substance and recklessly endangering another person. Pruett pleaded guilty Oct. 18 to allegations that on Aug. 3 in Kane, she conspired with Brandon Nelson to deliver 2 grams of methamphetamine; also, Pruitt put a 5-year-old child in danger by having meth around. Nelson has a last day to plea conference on similar charges scheduled for Nov. 1.
Jessie S. Jones, 36, of Bradford, will serve nine months to two years in state prison with credit for 86 days of time served and two years of probation for charges in two cases. She’s charged in one with theft by unlawful taking and access device fraud and in the second with retail theft. Court records filed at the time Jones was charged alleged that she took items such as cash and bank cards from Bradford Area Public Library staff members’ personal bags while she was there performing community service.
Michael A. Payne, 28, of Smethport, will serve six months to two years in state prison with credit for 202 days of time served for a charge of escape.
Payne pleaded guilty Oct. 18 to allegations that on Sept. 17, he walked away from his community service job site when he was supposed to return to the McKean County Jail that afternoon; he was apprehended about a mile east of the jail.
Shandon N. Langianese, 29, of Bradford, will serve five years in the Intermediate Punishment Program for a charge of DUI-controlled substance and summary charges.
Levi E. Cliff, 24, of Eldred, will serve 10 days to 18 months in McKean County Jail with credit for four days of time served for charges of simple assault and harassment.
On Sept. 20, Cliff pleaded guilty to allegations that on July 15 in Ceres, he struck a women in the face.
Dennis W. Fox, 23, will serve 30 days to six months in McKean County Jail for charges of DUI-alcohol and summary charges.
Mark L. Burlingame Jr., 28, of Delevan, N.Y., will serve two days to six months in McKean County Jail for charges of DUI-alcohol and summary charges.
Michael R. Stone, 28, of Bradford, will serve six months in the Intermediate Punishment Program for a charge of DUI-controlled substance and a summary charge.
Sarah M. Waid, 34, of Rixford, will serve six months of probation for summary charges.
