Bradfordians are invited to get an early start on their candy-collecting at Treat or Treat Main Street on Saturday.
At the event, young ghouls and goblins are invited to take part in a parade and a costume contest and, of course, trick-or-treat from downtown businesses. The Downtown Bradford Business District Authority is sponsoring the event, said Anita Dolan, Bradford’s Main Street manager.
The event is a great way for families to take part in a daylight holiday event.
Dolan noted, “Children are to be accompanied by an adult and arrive in costume ready to parade to Veterans’ Square.”
They will take part in multiple activities before the afternoon is through.
“Children are to meet at PNC Bank at 11 a.m.,” said Dolan. “At 11:30 a.m. they will parade to Veterans’ Square where costumes will be judged.”
Judging will be from noon to 1 p.m., and from there, children are invited to trick-or-treat at the shops of participating merchants, she explained. “The event ends at 1 p.m.”
Taking part are eight businesses: Team Minard, Ott & McHenry Pharmacy, Michelle’s Flair for Hair, Wright’s Music Shed, AAA Nail Salon, Main Street Mercantile, Little Fabric Garden and Starbucks at Marilyn Horne Hall.
Participants do not need to pre-register.
