A Bradford man was arraigned Wednesday for allegedly breaking into his upstairs neighbor’s apartment and punching the occupant in the face.
Stephen Cornelius, 30, of 253 South Ave. Apt. 2, is charged with burglary, a first-degree felony; criminal trespass, a third-degree felony; criminal trespass, a second-degree misdemeanor; simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor; and harassment, a summary offense.
On Oct. 10, at 7:33 p.m., police were called to an assault by one neighbor against another. Police spoke to the resident of Apartment 3 at that residence, who said Cornelius kicked open his door, entered his apartment and punched him in the face, allegedly because of noise coming from the upstairs apartment, according to the criminal complaint.
Cornelius admitted to police that he did punch the other man, the records allege.
He was arraigned Wednesday by District Judge Dom Cercone and released on $2,500 unsecured bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court Oct. 25.
