A Bradford man is in McKean County Jail after sexual assault allegations were filed against him last week.
Joshua K. Green, 30, was arraigned Thursday before District Judge Dominic Cercone on charges of indecent assault and corruption of minors, third-degree felonies; indecent exposure and terroristic threats, first-degree misdemeanors; and simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor.
According to Bradford City Police, the alleged victim is a 14-year-old girl. A press release from police stated that several times a week during the summer of 2016, Green would allegedly tell the teen he needed help with medical “treatment” for a urinary problem, which involved him exposing himself to her.
Police reported that on one occasion, around 3 a.m., Green had the girl sit on the kitchen counter, but she got down when he got too close to her. He sat down and pulled her onto his lap; she got off his lap when he allegedly started to put his hand in her pants. He attempted to pull her sweat pants down, but she was able to get away and lock herself in the bathroom, police stated. Afterward, she ran into her mother’s room, slammed the door and told her mother Green was touching her.
The next morning, the mother approached Green about the alleged contact, and he “became enraged and lunged at her, pushing her up against a wall,” police stated. Green started choking her and screaming in her face, saying “I will kill you!” He allegedly told her he would kill them if they went to the police.
In an interview with police, the mother said, “I believe, there is no doubt in my mind, he (Green) is going to shoot me in the head.”
Green is incarcerated in lieu of $25,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Thursday.
