SMETHPORT — The newly updated McKean County Recycling Center in Smethport has re-opened at the Good Growing Gardens barn location near the county 911 center.
The new site now has a flat concrete surface, lights, an enclosure for the compactor and bin, cameras and signage. The Recycling Center is open during daytime hours. Residents who would like to use the Recycling Center after regular business hours will need to purchase a key card at the McKean County Planning Office for $10.
The bins at the Shawmut trailhead are no longer available for drop-off of materials.
