ALTOONA — Sheetz, one of America’s fastest-growing family-owned and operated convenience retailers for more than 65 years, on Thursday announced the upcoming opening of its new store in Kane on Oct. 18 at 3014 Route 219, Lantz Corners.
The grand opening festivities will begin at 10 a.m. with multiple prizes awarded, including the giveaway of a $1,000 Sheetz gift card with no purchase necessary to win. The grand opening ceremony is set for 10:45 a.m., just before the store’s opening at 11 a.m.
This new location will welcome customers by offering free self-serve coffee and soda for a limited time and will continue to offer Sheetz’s award-winning Made to Order (MTO) menu on its unique touch-screen order terminals where patrons will be able to order any of Sheetz’s customized specialty drink or food items around the clock.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania because Sheetz is committed to supporting the local communities it serves.
Sheetz will also be donating $2,500 to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania, which works to provide hunger relief to more than 1.6 million people in Pennsylvania struggling to access nutritious and adequate amounts of food. Attendees who participate by bringing a food donation will receive a Sheetz branded thermal bag with a limit of one per customer, while supplies last from 9 to 11 a.m.
During the store’s grand opening ceremony, Sheetz will also donate $2,500 to Special Olympics of Pennsylvania.
Through local and national food-assistance programs, Sheetz is able to help people in the local communities they serve who struggle with hunger.
Sheetz currently operates 582 store locations across Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio and Maryland, with all locations open 24 hours and 7 days a week all 365 days of a year.
