PORT ALLEGANY — Jenna Sprankle came up with 26 assists and Port Allegany rolled to its 13th straight North Tier League volleyball victory with a three-set (25-14, 25-12, 25-16) sweep of Northern Potter on Wednesday.

Port got some help Wednesday night with Coudersport’s three-set sweep of Otto-Eldred, which was holding down second place in the league with two losses. Both the Lady Falcons and Lady Terrors now have three losses.

One more league win will assure the Lady Gators of a tie for first, and they remain favored to win it all.
Backing Sprankle, who also had 5 aces, were Kalyn Naylor with 10 kills, Tierra Keck with 7 kills and 6 digs, and Erin Stauffer with 5 kills and 7 digs.
“We had a player out with an injury, Kayla Pesock, but our younger girls stepped up and played well,” Terrette pointed out.
Port Allegany (14-3 overall) hosts Galeton today.
Leading NoPo Wednesday night were Marissa Bliss (6 kills, 6 digs); Megan Hyde (3 aces, 9 digs) and Savannah Herring (3 kills)
