RIDGWAY — Ridgway’s 2018 Historic Tour of Homes is rapidly filling, but it is not too late to jump on board, officials said.
The “Mansions and Mayhem” event will be held on the afternoon and evening of Oct. 13.
During this guided tour, six historic properties will be visited, and others along the route will also be discussed.
In addition to three of Ridgway’s finest homes, participants will learn about the history of Dr. Udarbe’s “Central School” and “Masonic Temple” from local history expert Bob Imhof. The always popular Elk County Historical Society is also one of the stops. The mansions will be followed by mayhem and refreshments at the old CNB bank building on Center Street. Participants are welcome to wear their best costume to add to the fun.
Proceeds benefit the Council’s downtown revitalization program. For more information and available tour times, visit the Ridgway Welcome Center at the corner of Main Street and Route 219, or call 814-776-1424.
