SMETHPORT — Meeting in a brief session Monday, the McKean County Commissioners approved a resolution authorizing the county to enter a preventative maintenance renewal agreement with MJ Mechanical Services Inc. for the HVAC system at the jail.
The cost of this annual contract is $2,398.
One invoice was given the OK. This $19,947.50 payment to the Area Transportation Authority represents a portion of the agency’s budget allotment for Oct. 1 through Dec. 31.
Commissioners also approved a real estate exemption from A Partnership in Housing for an .08-acre parcel at 26 State St. in Bradford City since the agency is a non-profit housing entity.
The assessed value of this property was listed as $14,770.
Port Allegany Borough’s application for county aid was approved and the $4,574 will be encumbered for a future project.
In other business, commissioners also gave the nod to various resource agreements and the purchase of several service agreements.
