KANE — A Port Allegany man is in McKean County Jail for allegedly assaulting a woman after she questioned him about suspected drug use.
Larry Kline, 42, of North Brooklynside Road, is charged with aggravated assault, a first-degree felony; strangulation and simple assault, second-degree misdemeanors; harassment, a summary offense.
According to court records, state police were called to Kline’s apartment at 12:17 a.m. Saturday for a report of a domestic incident. Police spoke to a female at the residence who said she questioned Kline about his suspected drug use, and Kline punched her in the face with a closed fist, placed her in a choke hold and said he was going to “knock her teeth down her throat,” the criminal complaint stated.
Kline was arraigned before on-call District Judge David Engman Saturday morning and remanded to jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Thursday.
