Between 8,000 and 10,000 people –– this was the amount of people that Kinzua Bridge Foundation Secretary Debbie Lunden estimates attended this weekend’s 21st running of the annual Kinzua Bridge Fall Festival.
Lunden regarded the event’s turnout by explaining, “We feel that we were very busy on Saturday and very steady on Sunday.”
The event included a large variety of attractions, some of them including Hamlin Township Volunteer Fire Department’s “Famous Chicken Bar-B-Q,” a bigfoot presentation and calling contest, live music from several artists and bird shows courtesy of Eagle Dream Rehabilitation Center.
She went on to explain that the 25th anniversary of the Kinzua Bridge Foundation and the 125th anniversary of Pennsylvania Parks and Forests were celebrated at the event.
“I think it’s a combination of everything that compliments each other so well. It just seems to work, not really anything sticks out as far as being the best (attraction),” Lunden said.
Lunden said that the vendors enjoyed the event just as much as those in attendance.
“The vendors said they all made money and were very happy to be a part of the festival,” she said. “This year we had the most sites filled. Probably 94 vendor sites were filled.”
