The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Office of Admissions will hold its first open house of the fall on Sept. 22.
Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. in the Frame-Westerberg Commons.
Visitors will be able to speak with faculty and coaches and learn about the different programs of study that Pitt-Bradford has to offer, meet current students, take a tour with a student ambassador and find out more about admissions and financial aid. Representatives from the Housing Office and Seneca Battalion Army ROTC will also be available to answer questions.
Dr. Tammy Haley, assistant professor of nursing and director of the nursing and radiological science programs, will discuss college academics. Following her talk, prospective students and their parents will have an opportunity to hear from and ask questions of a panel of current students.
Students on the panel will be Mitch Dowd, an athletic training major from Pottstown; Hannah Jaroszynski, a psychology major from Falconer, N.Y.; Marissa Merritt, a history-political science and social studies education 7-12 major from Kersey; Isaac Payne, an English and writing major from Kane; Kenneth Reilly, a history-political science and international affairs major from Brooklyn, N.Y.; Tamia Robinson, a criminal justice major from Philadelphia; Claire Saylor, a chemistry major from Sligo; and Alyssa Sedgwick, a biology major from Ellwood City.
Those who are unable to attend the Sept. 22 open house can attend other Saturday open houses on Oct. 20 or Nov. 3 or visitation days on Oct. 8 (Columbus Day) or Nov. 12 (Veterans Day). Visitation day activities begin at 10 a.m.
