ST. MARYS — The 9th annual Bavarian Fall Fest begins today in downtown St. Marys.
Events begin at 11 a.m. with craft and food vendors and basket raffles will be open in the parking lot of the chamber of commerce. Opening ceremonies will be held at 6 p.m. on the main stage with John Salter as emcee. He will be presenting an award to Elkland Search and Rescue. The St. Marys Chamber of Commerce will be awarding Business of the Year as well.
The rock wall, in the gravel lot, will be open from 6 to 10 p.m.
The band Lawyers, Guns & Money will perform on the main stage from 7 to 10 p.m.
On Saturday, vendors and the basket raffles begin at 9 a.m., as does a farmers’ market in Casali’s parking lot.
From noon to 5 p.m. will be a “kidz zone” set up in the St. Marys Elementary School gym, and “Accordian Lover” will be at the corner lot on Center Street. The rock wall will be open from 1 to 9 p.m.
From 1 to 4 p.m., music by Chase and the Barons will be presented on the main stage. From 4:30 to 6 p.m. music by Sinatra impersonator Dave Carr will be on the main stage, and from 7 to 10 p.m., music by Creedence Clearwater Revival impersonators will be on the main stage.
On Sunday, a pancake breakfast will be held at the Crystal Fire Department beginning at 7 a.m. and lasting until the pancakes are gone. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., craft and food vendors will be open. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the basket raffles will be open. A folk mass will be said from 9:15 to 10 a.m. on the main stage with Father Ross. At 10:30 a.m., music by Bill Thompson will begin on the main stage.
Basket raffle and other winners will be announced on the main stage at 2 p.m.
Parking will be available on side streets and in the parking garage along Depot Street.
