TV: The prime time television schedule didn’t make it into Wednesday’s edition due to a production error.
Fear not about today’s schedule: it’s on page B-8.
Happy viewing!
KUDOS: On Wednesday along the Richard E. McDowell Community Trail, a fellow nature lover remarked about how nice the area by the Tunungwant Creek on campus drive looked now that it’s been mowed.
She wanted to applaud whoever mowed it.
We’re not sure if it was a Bradford City employee, a volunteer with the Tuna Valley Trail Club or someone else who trimmed it, but it sure is nice to have better view of the creek.
FLOOD SAFETY: With Hurricane Florence expected to hit the mainland today, many fear flooding along the eastern coast.
While Bradford won’t be getting hurricane level weather, there is a chance of rain in the forecast the next couple of days. Some Pennsylvanians have experienced flooding this week.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) shared a few flood safety tips:
• Monitor road conditions, and plan your route ahead of time.
• Check the television, radio or internet for weather updates and emergency instructions.
• Pay attention to any instructions from state or local officials. Watch for road closures.
• Do not drive through high water or around barricades. Turn around if you encounter flooded roadways.
• Plan ahead what you would do if you, your family and your pets have to evacuate or find shelter. Have supplies ready.
• Keep important documents in a waterproof container.
• Keep your property protected by keeping valuables up high, clearing drains and gutters, installing check valves and installing a sump pump that can be powered by battery.
