A Bradford man was arrested Monday in Sherman, N.Y., by Jamestown, N.Y.-based state police on a warrant from the Erie County (N.Y.) Sheriff’s Office.
Tyler Yohe, 29, was pulled over on Interstate 86 for a traffic violation; when police performed a check on his license information, they found that he was wanted in Erie County, according to state police.
Police said that he taken into custody, and in a subsequent search they found that he had a suboxone strip. They indicated he would face an additional drug charge due to the new allegations.
Police issued Yohe an appearance ticket and a traffic ticket and turned him over to the Erie County deputies.
State police did not indicate why Yohe was wanted in Erie County.
In April 2017, the Erie County Sheriff’s Department released a statement saying that Yohe was pulled over on April 14, 2017, for a traffic violation in Elma, N.Y., and a deputy allegedly found Yohe to be in possession of several drugs and brass knuckles.
They first found Xanax, Lorazepam, Suboxone, marijuana and a glass pipe, according to the sheriff’s office. When he was later being processed in the Erie County Holding center, deputies allegedly discovered a crack pipe in his shoe and 2.5 grams of crack cocaine concealed in his buttocks.
The sheriff’s office reported at the time that Yohe was charged with several felony and misdemeanor drug charges, but it was unclear on Tuesday where that case stands or whether it is the reason Yohe was wanted in Erie County.
