Drug charges against a Liberty Township man who is facing two criminal cases were bound to McKean County Court Tuesday.
Rory D. Ford, 35, appeared for a preliminary hearing before District Judge William Todd. One count of possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance was dismissed, but the other charges were bound, court records indicate.
According to the criminal complaint in one of the cases, at 10:40 p.m. July 17, in a vehicle by their 195 Lower Portage Road home, Ford and Patricia A. Larson, 32, conspired to sell one Subutex pill in exchange for $40. Larson allegedly arranged the sale via cell phone.
On July 19, detectives with the McKean County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at the residence and found an active rolling methamphetamine lab, District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer reported at the time of their arrest.
Ford is charged in one case with manufacturing or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver methamphetamine and two counts of possessing a precursor with intent to manufacture a controlled substance, all felonies; two counts of operating a meth lab, second-degree felonies; two counts each of depositing chemical waste and illegal dumping of methamphetamine waste, all third-degree felonies; possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanors; and criminal use of a communication facility, a third-degree felony.
He’s charged in the second case with conspiracy to deliver Subutex, a felony; and conspiracy-criminal use of a communication facility, a third-degree felony.
Larson waived a preliminary hearing in July for similar charges. She is scheduled to have a last day to plea conference Sept. 20 in McKean County Court.
