SMETHPORT — A Bradford teen was sentenced Thursday in McKean County Court for fighting with police officers who were trying to arrest him.
Timothy M. Schuster, 19, will serve eight to 23 ½ months in McKean County Jail for a charge of resisting arrest. Schuster pleaded guilty Aug. 9 to allegations that on April 25, he tried to run when Foster Township Police tried to arrest him; a physical struggle ensued, but police were able to take him to the ground and handcuff him.
Also in court, Adam D. Weaver, 26, of Limestone, N.Y., will serve six months to one year in McKean County Jail with credit for 90 days of time served and one year of probation for a charge of aggravated harassment by a prisoner. Weaver pleaded no contest Aug. 9 to allegations that on June 1, while he was in a holding cell in the Bradford City Police Station, he spit saliva on an officer.
Vincent P. Gagliardi, 26, of Bradford, will serve two years of probation for charges of possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility. On Aug. 9, Gagliardi pleaded guilty to allegations that on Oct. 3, he delivered about 6.7 grams of marijuana while under surveillance of the McKean County Drug Task Force; he arranged the sale using Facebook messenger.
Chelsie L. Dahlke, 28, of Port Allegany, will serve 23 months of probation for charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and summary charges. Assistant District Attorney Jerry Grill indicated on Thursday that the allegations against her were similar to recent charges against her in Potter County that also had to do with her operating a motor vehicle without permission. She was convicted of the McKean County charges at a jury trial.
Mathew K. Frederick, 28, of Bradford, will serve 18 months of probation for charges in two cases. He’s charged in one case with false reports and in the second with theft by unlawful taking. Frederick pleaded guilty Aug. 9 to allegations that on April 14, he reported to law enforcement a false story that someone held a knife to his throat and threatened to kill him; then, on April 17, he took someone’s LG cell phone valued at $100.
Curtis J. Deitz, 37, of Bradford, will serve five years in the Intermediate Punishment Program for charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and a summary charge.
Isaac D. Hilyer, 22, of Eldred, will serve 16 months of probation for a charge of theft by unlawful taking. On Aug. 9, Hilyer pleaded guilty to allegations that on July 1, 2017, he stole $84.
Milton L. Jones Jr., 55, of Kane, will serve one year of probation for a charge of theft by unlawful taking. On Aug. 9, Jones pleaded guilty to allegations that on Jan. 19, he took someone’s wallet, which was valued at $50.
Keian J. Schweigart, 20, of Kane, will serve one year of probation for a charge of theft by unlawful taking. Schweigart entered a guilty plea Aug. 16 to allegations that on Nov. 24, 2017, he took between $3 and $4 in cash tips from Subway in Kane.
Rodger D. Walters, 38, of Kane, pleaded guilty to charges of disorderly conduct and recklessly endangering another person. He will be sentenced Sept. 13.
Garret J. Coder, 20, of Bradford, will serve six months of probation for a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
