Bradford man arraigned for stealing from video poker machine
A Bradford man was arraigned Monday for allegedly collecting more than his winnings from a video poker machine at the Chestnut Street Uni Mart in June.
Joseph Kab Green, 40, of 52 Pearl St., is charged with theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, and criminal mischief, a summary offense.
According to court records, at 4:09 a.m. June 24, Green was inside the convenience store playing on the video poker machine. While the clerk was occupied, Green allegedly pried open and damaged the access door to the machine and took the money that was inside — about $1,500. When the clerk saw the damage, she notified police. The store’s surveillance cameras recorded the incident, police allege.
Green was arraigned before District Judge Dom Cercone and released on unsecured bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Sept. 6.
