Law enforcement officials are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred today in McKean County, District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer confirmed.
“Investigating are the McKean County District Attorney’s Office, the McKean County detectives and the Pennsylvania state police,” she said.
While no further details were immediately available, Shaffer said, “Further comment will be provided as information becomes known.”
A spokesperson at Kane-based state police barracks confirmed there was an officer-involved shooting, and said officers were still on scene about 8:45 p.m.
Reports indicate the scene is on Route 155 near Port Allegany.
