Law enforcement officials who are investigating a fire that occurred in a Kiwanis Court apartment Friday afternoon are seeking information from the public.
The cause of a blaze in Apt. 5C remains under investigation, reported state police fire marshal Cpl. Greg Agosti on Sunday.
No one was hurt.
According to Agosti, on Friday, he, along with Bradford City fire and police departments, investigated a fire that heavily damaged a second floor apartment at 5 Kiwanis Court, a two-story apartment complex.
He said fire damage was contained to Apt. 5C, but apartments 5A, 5B and 5D sustained “significant water and smoke damage.” All damage was contained to Section 5 of the apartment complex.
Living in Apt. 5C were Bethany Knight, 25; William Harris, 25; a 7-year-old girl; and two boys ages 4 and 5, Agosti said. Displaced from the other three apartments were four adults and three children.
Damage to Section 5 is estimated to be $300,000, he stated.
Anyone with information on the blaze is asked to contact the Bradford City Police Department.
