CLYMER, N.Y. — Kirk Stauffer added another piece of hardware to his collection with a first-place finish at the Western New York PGA Professional Championship at Peek’n Peak Resort on Tuesday afternoon.
Stauffer, the PGA Professional at Pine Acres Country Club, shot a one-under par in the two-day event. He shot a 73 on Monday and improved with a 70 Tuesday for a 143 total score in the tournament to take home the $2,000 purse.
Stauffer finished three strokes better than the second-place finisher Dwayne Randall of Peek’n Peak.
Stauffer, Randall and third place finisher Jason Ballard will all advance to the 2019 PGA Professional Championship in South Carolina this April.
Jake Northrup, PGA Pro at Pennhills Club, finished 22nd.
