A Military Share Produce Express for military families will take place from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Aug. 30 at the Lewis Run Armory, 119 Airport Road, Lewis Run.

The event will include a distribution of free produce and other grocery products for members of the National Guard, Reservists, active military veterans and their families.

RSVPs are required by Aug. 24 by calling (814) 398-6037. Participants are asked to bring ID and a box or bags in which to put food.

There will be community agencies on site to provide resources including Penn State Extension with Nutrition Links, the DuBois Vet Center and Pennsylvania National Guard with Survivor Outreach.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania is putting on the event.
