WARREN — A 78-year-old woman was killed when the car she was a passenger in struck a farm tractor on Route 957 in Sugar Grove Township, Warren County, at 9:34 p.m. Sunday.
Warren-based state police said Anne M. Wolf, 78, of North Warren, died as a result of the crash.
Police said the car, driven by Elizabeth Ann Donovan, 86, of Warren, was traveling east and the tractor, operated by Travis Larson, 37, of Warren, was westbound. At the top of the hill on the road, the car crossed into the westbound lane and hit the tractor. The car spun counterclockwise and came to rest facing north, partially on the road and shoulder.
Police said Larson was not injured.
In addition to Wolf, the three other occupants in the car were injured. Donovan and a male occupant from Russell were transported by ambulance to Warren General Hospital, while a female occupant from Russell was transported by Stat MedEvac to UPMC Hamot, according to police.
The crash is still under investigation, police said.
