The second half of the mother-and-son pair who allegedly defrauded an elderly man in Bradford has been arraigned and jailed on 22 theft-related charges.
Tate William Hallock, 24, of 41 Main St., Apt. 309, Bradford, was arraigned Monday before District Judge Dom Cercone and jailed in lieu of $5,000 bail. His mother, Tuesday L. Hale, 51, was arraigned on July 10 on five counts relating to theft and fraud. She is free on $2,500 bail, and is scheduled to appear in Central Court Aug. 29.
The two were charged in relation to scamming an elderly man Hale was hired to clean house for, court records allege. The two allegedly made up a story about a sick relative, and then saying the relative had died, to get money from the man.
The pair also used the man’s ATM card to make several unauthorized withdrawals from the man’s bank account, court records allege.
Hallock is charged with one count of conspiracy to commit access device fraud, five counts of access device fraud and 15 counts of attempted access device fraud, all third-degree felonies; and one count of receiving stolen property, a third-degree misdemeanor, court records stated.
Hallock is scheduled to appear in Central Court Aug. 23.
