Charge have been filed in Pennsylvania against a man accused in a Bradford Township robbery, along with several crimes throughout Allegany County, N.Y.
Chase H. Lotter, 27, was arrested Aug. 1 by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and incarcerated. The Allegany County district attorney recommended bail be set at $100,000 cash and $200,000 bond, according to Amity, N.Y.-based state police.
New York state police report his address as Shawmut Avenue, Johnsonburg, while the Pennsylvania case docket states that he was a resident of Portville, N.Y.
In Pennsylvania, Lotter is charged with robbery-threat of immediate serious injury and robbery-threatens immediately to commit any felony of the first or second degree, both first-degree felonies; robbery-take property by force, a third-degree felony; terroristic threats and theft by unlawful taking, both first-degree misdemeanors; recklessly endangering another person, a second-degree misdemeanor; and loitering and prowling at night time, a third-degree misdemeanor.
According to Bradford Township Police, at 10:14 p.m. Aug. 31, Lotter committed armed robbery at the Kwik Fill, located at 713 South Ave.
Lotter has not been arraigned on the Pennsylvania charges yet.
Altogether, he has been implicated in at least six alleged crimes occurring between July 22-30 in Allegany County.
In New York state, Lotter was wanted on arrest warrants in two additional alleged robberies — one July 24 at the Steuben Trust branch in Bolivar and the other July 30 at the Belmont Crosby’s gas station in the Town of Amity, which allegedly involved a gun — state police reported.
In New York, Lotter is charged with first-degree robbery for the allegations at the Crosby’s; meanwhile, the alleged Bolivar bank robbery was still under investigation as of Aug. 2.
Lotter is facing charges for three other alleged crimes in July in New York state.
New York state police reported that on July 22 in the Town of Genesee, he committed burglary, which led to charges of second-degree burglary and third-degree burglary. He is charged with third-degree burglary for allegations that he broke into a garage on July 30 in the Town of Bolivar.
Also on July 30, Lotter allegedly stole a golf cart from the Bolivar Country Club, for which he is charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, state police stated. Finally, he is charged in another case with fourth-degree grand larceny for allegations he stole a truck from Butternut Brook Road in the Town of Genesee.
It is unclear when Lotter will be returned to Pennsylvania to face charges here.
