CLEARFIELD — Construction for a Route 46 (Emporium Road) bridge in McKean County is scheduled to begin soon as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.
The bridge spans Havens Run in Norwich Township, about three miles southeast of the village of Betula. Replacement of this bridge will allow PennDOT to remove it from McKean County’s structurally deficient bridge list.
Construction is expected to begin the week of Aug. 20 and be complete in early November. During this time, an alternating traffic pattern will be controlled by temporary traffic signals.
In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may change.
