Whether you’re into Motown music, a fan of the circus or you love to laugh through comedic performances, the Bradford Creative and Performing Arts Center (BCPAC) is bringing an act to town you’re sure to love in celebration of its 35th anniversary season.
“I’m really excited about this year’s headline series,” said Shane Oschman, BCPAC board president. “Our celebratory 35th anniversary season, which extends from October 2018 through June 2019, is jam-packed with entertainment you won’t want to miss.”
Here’s what’s in store:
• Shadows of the 60s: A Tribute to Motown – Saturday, Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m.
Enjoy a night of classics as Shadows of the 60s pays tribute to one of the greatest periods in musical history. This entertaining and talented group will take you back to all the glitz, glam and soul of Motown’s Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Martha Reeves and more.
• The Art of Circus – Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019 at 7:30 p.m.
Inspired by visual masterpieces, this troupe of elite world-record-holding gymnasts and internationally recognized circus performers will amaze the entire family in an acrobatic “fantasy world.” The Art of Circus will feature dance and circus performances with an original musical score by Jesse Elder of Postmodern Jukebox that will both thrill and excite your sense of sound and sight.
• The Phat Pack — Thursday, Feb. 22nd, 2019 at 7:30 p.m.
These four Broadway artists met while performing in “PHANTOM: The Las Vegas Spectacular” and since have formed their own highly acclaimed performance that headlined the Plaza Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas for nearly a year. The Phat Pack provides an evening of great Broadway music, stories and original comedy that will not disappoint.
• Jokes On You with Gallagher and Artie Fletcher — Thursday, May 16th, 2019 at 7:30 p.m.
There may not be any watermelon smashing, but there will be laughter as Gallagher takes the stage with Artie Fletcher for a night of comedic relief in The Joke’s on You. Gallagher, the iconic comedian who is the reason we have Comedy Central today, and Artie Fletcher, who has performed on Conan O’ Brien, David Letterman and The Tonight Show, are sure to be an unforgettable duo.
• Oh What A Night! An Evening with Charles Calello — Friday, June 7th, 2019 at 7:30 p.m.
Join us as we welcome The Hit Man himself! Charles Calello has performed or contributed to 101 Billboard chart hits and has had 15 Grammy Award nominations throughout his amazing career. Songs such as “Sweet Caroline”, “Leg’s Hang On” and “All By Myself” are a product of Charles Calello, and it is guaranteed that as you follow Charles, his singers and their full band throughout their musical journey, you will find yourself on your own memory lane right with them.
