COUDERSPORT –– A 59-year-old Coudersport man was killed in an all-terrain vehicle accident on Wednesday at 4:01 p.m.
According to Coudersport-based state police, Nelson C. Heller, 59, of Coudersport, was operating a Polaris four-wheeler traveling south on Bower Road in Allegany Township in Potter County when the four-wheeler lost control when it hit a section of loose gravel. Heller was ejected from the four-wheeler and became entrapped underneath the four-wheeler.
Police said that Heller was pronounced dead at the scene by Potter County Coroner Kevin Dusenbury. Police added that Heller was not wearing a helmet.
Coudersport Fire, Ambulance and Medics and staff from Kightlinger Motors provided assistance on the scene.
