A Duke Center man was arrested on allegations that he assaulted a woman Friday evening.
James P. Przybyszewski, 32, of 150 Sweitzer Drive, Duke Center, was arraigned before District Judge David Engman on charges of strangulation, a second-degree felony; simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor; and harassment, a summary charge.
According to the criminal complaint, between 6:30 and 7 p.m. Friday, Przybyszewski spit in a woman’s face during an argument; she smacked him in the back of the head, and he began choking her. He allegedly kicked her legs and grabbed her, and when she went into the bathroom, he struck her in the face.
Przybyszewski is free, having posted $10,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Thursday.
