A Kane man is facing criminal charges for allegations that he threatened to shoot someone.
Kane-based state police reported that Gerald Thomas Kilcoin made the alleged threats at 11:15 p.m. Monday at 237 Bayard St. Kilcoin was arraigned by District Judge Dominic Cercone and released to his parents on $10,000 unsecured bail.
Court records state that Kilcoin, 53, is charged with terroristic threats, a first-degree misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a third-degree misdemeanor.
According to the criminal complaint, at 11:15 p.m. Monday, state police were called to the home for a report of a domestic dispute.
A woman told police that a female friend came over because she needed to talk about a family problem she was having. The women were in front of the home, and the alleged victim asked Kilcoin nicely to go inside so her friend could talk to her, court records stated.
Kilcoin allegedly called her a curse word; seeing that he was angry, she locked herself in the apartment. He was yelling that he would shoot her if she didn’t let him back in, according to the complaint.
Court records did not indicate that Kilcoin had a firearm.
He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on July 26.
