SMETHPORT — A tire recycling event will be held from 8 a.m. to noon July 21 at the Smethport Borough sheds on U.S. Route 6.
The event is sponsored by McKean County Chapter of PA CleanWays and McKean County Conservation District.
Car tires will be accepted for $1.25 per tire and light truck tires will be accepted for $2.50 per tire. Tires can have rims on or off. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required and can be made at the McKean County Conservation District Office.
