Organizers of the upcoming Bradford Garden Tour and Garden Gala said planning for the late July event is shaping up as they head into the final weeks before the event.

“Our selection committee is currently narrowing down applicants to the 10 finalists that will be featured on the tour,” said Chelsea Schwab, Main Street Manager. “We are already hearing a lot of buzz about this event. People are very interested in both the Garden Tour and the Garden Gala that evening.”

Schwab said both events are perfect for the summer season.

“The Garden Tour will run from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, and the Garden Gala will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. that same evening at Graham’s Greenhouse and Landscaping,” Schwab said. “The Garden Tour is the perfect way to explore and learn from some of the finest examples of gardening and landscaping in the area. Our gardeners worked very hard this year to get their gardens in top shape for the tour.”

She said the Garden Gala will be a summertime soiree complete with wine, hors d’oeuvres and live music. In addition, awards from the Garden Tour will be presented at the gala.

“Everyone is so excited to have this semi-formal gala,” Schwab added. “It is a wonderful excuse to dress up, enjoy some refreshments and the beautiful atmosphere of a summer on the patio at Graham’s.”

She said tickets are on sale now at Eventbrite.com and at the following local retailers: Graham’s Greenhouse and Landscaping, Bella Capelli Salon, the Tin Ceiling Gift Shoppe and Northwest Bank on Main Street.

Tickets are $10 for single admission to either that Garden Tour or the Garden Gala, and $15 for a combo admission to both the Garden Tour and the Garden Gala.
